Thunder Hawks Lose to Fur Traders in Walk Off
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Tacoma Fur Traders and the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, José Espinosa was the difference-maker. The Tacoma right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. The winner was Tacoma reliever Cédric Dupré, now 1-1. The loser was Scott Richardson. The Fur Traders now have a mark of 32-55.
Henry Kent was the walk-off hero for Tacoma. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fur Traders catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Both teams played hard," said Tacoma manager George Sanford.
