Multi-HR Game for Matsumoto in 4-2 Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from Tetsu Matsumoto, who is tied for 10th in the PL in total bases with 173, helped the Portland Evergreens beat the Buffalo White Walkers, 4-2. Portland is now riding a 9-game win streak.
Portland grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the sixth, when Matsumoto, who leads the PL with a 1.057 OPS, hit a 2-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season put the Evergreens out in front, 4-2.
"I believe in our guys," said Portland skipper Brandon Slouck. "I like the energy they're playing with."
