Secada goes 3-for-3, Eclipse Move to 48-31
The Northville Eclipse defeated the St. Petersburg Thunder, 10-3, at Old-Timers Park today. Leading the charge for Northville was first baseman Diego Alejandro Secada. He went 3 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Ryson Polonius, credited with the save, is now 4 for 5 in save opportunities. The second-place Eclipse lifted their record to 48-31.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-born Jaime Burgos came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded and the Eclipse trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run double to right-center to put Northville on top.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Secada said.
