Lancaster rode a fine outing from starter Bob Hollingsworth to victory over the Tacoma Fur Traders at Farmers Field. The final score was 2-1. Lancaster reliever Jesús Fregaso picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-2. Félix Benítez was collared with the loss. The 9th-place Farmers raised their record to 29-49.
Mark Kirk, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in triples with 4, aided the Lancaster cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder went 1-3.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Hollingsworth told the Lancaster Herald.
