Cabrera goes 3-for-5 as Blue Sox Squeeze Past Ft. Polk South

The Irving Blue Sox beat the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 10-9, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Irving first baseman Ignacio Cabrera earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Hank Lynn finished to wrap up his 6th save. The Blue Sox raised their record to 37-39.
Cabrera came through with some timely hitting for Irving. With the score 4-4 in the top of the fourth and one down, Cabrera hit a 1-1 fastball for a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season made it 6-4, Irving.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Cabrera.
