|
In a close game at Blue Sox Ballpark, the Irving Blue Sox edged the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 4-3. Irving first baseman Ignacio Cabrera earned the nod as player of the game. He went 2 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Hank Lynn got the save, the 5th for him this season. The Blue Sox go to 36-39, putting them 7th in the Silver AA.
With Irving leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Cabrera hit a splitter from Austin Cunningham for a run-scoring triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Blue Sox ahead, 3-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Cabrera.
