Ft. Polk South third baseman Tora Tora made his presence felt in the 5-4 Thunder Hawks triumph over the Atlantic City Sonics. Tora went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. Lucas van Halteren, the winner, improved to 3-0. He held the Sonics to 4 earned runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Scott Richardson notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.

Tora had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-1 sinker from Fernando Mora, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Thunder Hawks a 5-4 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Tora.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Tora. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

Ft. Polk South's record now stands at 32-38, placing them 8th in the Silver AA.
