Love Boats Fall to .500 After Loss to Thunder Hawks
|
Ft. Polk South starter Gerard Tremwade pitched effectively against the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats at Heron Field. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Tremwade picked up the win for Ft. Polk South, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4. The 8th-place Thunder Hawks have won 4 in a row.
Ft. Polk South used the timely hitting of Tora Tora to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Tremwade said.
