Love Boats Edge Whales, 4-3

The Virginia Beach Whales and Lake Minnetonka Love Boats provided some drama at Heron Field.
Lake Minnetonka Love Boats starter Wayland Whitlock was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Virginia Beach Whales, 4-3. Chris Berry picked up the save for Lake Minnetonka, his 5th of the year.
Hamid Rutu had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for Lake Minnetonka. With runners on 1st and 3rd and the Love Boats leading 3-2, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Whitlock told the Lake Minnetonka Daily News.
Lake Minnetonka is now 28-29.
