Fur Traders Top Eclipse in Extras
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders racked up a win at Old-Timers Park, bumping off the Northville Eclipse, 3-2. Ralph Johnston, who started for Tacoma, pitched effectively for his team. Tacoma reliever Kenny Caird picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Juan Colón was collared with the loss. Tacoma is now 14-23. Northville is 23-14.
Tacoma took a 2-1 lead on Hori Ikenaki's 2nd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Ikenaki hit in the top of the 11th, left Northville pitcher Juan Colón visibly frustrated.
"We put together a nice win," Ikenaki said.
