Sonics Gilliam Smacks 5 Hits
|
It was a parade of hits for Travis Gilliam of the Atlantic City Sonics at Rapiers Ballpark today.
Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Gilliam finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Sonics to a 9-0 victory.
"Gilliam was really good and we were really bad," groaned Thunder manager Emílio Sáenz. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
Travis Gilliam singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
