Patriots Jolt Shredders with Late Rally

People near Dunkin Donuts Park no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.
The Boston Patriots got a strong performance from pitcher Firpo Marberry, who stymied the Hollywood offense en route to a 5-2 win at Dunkin Donuts Park. Boston reliever Jorge Gil picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Cullen Taylor absorbed the loss.
Boston won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Cullen Taylor on the mound for Hollywood, left fielder John Mayasich hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Patriots fans to their feet.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Mayasich said.
Boston has now won 6 in a row.
