Miners Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The winning streak continued for Marquette at Asheville Park.
Marquette designated hitter Joseph Wallace had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Asheville Highlanders, 6-3. Marquette leads the Menard's AA by 3 games.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Wallace delivered big-time for Marquette, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Tobin Basch. The game-changing hit put the Miners on top, 6-3.
"The vibe's good," said Marquette manager Christos Galpin. "We've got to keep it going."
