Marquette rode a fine outing from starter Stu Riley to victory over the Yakima Hops at Marquette Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Marquette is now 41-19, 2½ games up in the Menard's AA.
Riley was effective for Marquette, seldom allowing the Hops to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 117 pitches over 7 innings. He limited Yakima to just 1 run on 1 hit.
