Hollywood got a strong outing from Lloyd Natoff as the Shredders defeated the Portland Evergreens, 4-2, at The Hollywood Bowl. The Shredders improved to 43-35.

Sayed Walid dealt the Evergreens a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Hollywood leading 2-0, Walid, who finished 2nd in the PL in triples with 9 last year, hit a 2-1 cutter for a 2-run triple.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
