Polar Bears Suffer 6-2 Loss to Highlanders
The Asheville Highlanders knocked off the Billings Polar Bears, 6-2, at The Igloo. Colton Pennington was named player of the game for Asheville. He hit 2 singles and 2 doubles, while driving in 1 runs. Asheville reliever Michael White picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Allen Brown was saddled with the loss. The third-place Highlanders now have a win-loss record of 31-19.

Asheville used the timely hitting of Luis Romero to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Highlanders on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
