Highlanders Reel Off Another Win
Asheville third baseman Virgil Guldenmond had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 9-2 win over the Barton Springs Blues. The third-place Highlanders have won 8 straight.

It could have been a different outcome for Asheville, had it not been for Dean Barthorpe, the 25-year old first baseman . Barthorpe contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Asheville up, 1-0.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Barthorpe told the Asheville Bulletin.
