The Portland Evergreens eked out a 5-4 win versus the Hollywood Shredders at The Hollywood Bowl. Nobody did more than pitcher Cristián Moreno, who captured player of the game honors. Mark Robinson, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Portland is now 38-38, Hollywood 42-34.

Vicente Gomillion, the 31st overall pick in the 2039 draft, helped out the Portland cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with a double.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Gomillion said.
