Pilgrims Roll Over Highlanders, 9-4
|
Providence third baseman Chris Hall made his presence felt in the 9-4 Pilgrims triumph over the Asheville Highlanders. Hall went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs. The winner was Sean Neely in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jason Skinner took the loss. Providence goes to 17-18, Asheville to 20-15.
Keith Lynn went 1 for 3 with a walk for Providence. The 25-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jason Skinner. It was his 17th RBI of the season.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Lynn said after the game.
