Rails Come Back Late to Top Blues

The Richland Rails trumped the Barton Springs Blues, 9-8, at Blues Field. Richland shortstop Glenn Seals was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Richland reliever Mathis Vial was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Francisco Esposo took the loss. Richland, at 9-18, occupies last place in the Menard's AA.
Richland needed the clutch hitting of Ben Russell to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rails on top, 9-8. For the game, Russell had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
