Humpbacks Shut Out Supernovas
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks beat the Scranton Supernovas, 9-0, at Sea World. The Humpbacks got a fine performance from center fielder Roberto Baca, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Alaskan leads the Silver AAA by 15 games.
Baca came through with some timely hitting for Alaskan. With the score 1-0 in the bottom of the second and one down, Baca hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring triple. His 6th triple of the season made it 2-0, Alaskan.
"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Alfred Roberts.
