Vermont Lake Monsters starter Kee Bao was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Florida Men, 5-3. Alfonso Hadalgo sewed up the save, his 11th. Vermont has now won 4 straight, while the Men have lost 3 in a row.
The outcome might have been different for Vermont, had it not been for Wally Hill, the 21-year old second baseman . Hill stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Vermont up, 5-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Hill told the Vermont Chronicle.
