Golden Cranes Clip Drummers in Tight Contest

Santa Barbara turned a good effort from starter Dorian Gunther into a win over the Tortolita Drummers at Drummers Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. The Golden Cranes are now 58-35, while the Drummers fall to 42-51.
Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, James Pike's at-bat in the top of the eighth was crucial. With two out, the Santa Barbara center fielder reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run, to give his team a 3-2 lead.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Pike.
