Knights Turn Back Tortolita, 4-3
|
Nolensville beat Tortolita at Ballpark of Alloway, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Freddy Estrada, who earned player of the game honors. Nolensville reliever Freddy Estrada was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Cisco Pérez took the loss for Tortolita. Nolensville occupies 8th place in the Silver AAA at 36-54.
The Knights grabbed the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With one out, Dale Goodman, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in stolen bases with 14, hit a 2-run home run off Cisco Pérez, putting Nolensville in front, 4-1. For Goodman, it was his 8th home run of the season.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Goodman said.
