Highlanders Get Win, Extend Streak to 4

The Asheville Highlanders topped the Barton Springs Blues, 6-3, in M3L Double A action at Asheville Park. The player of the game was Asheville pitcher Geoffrey Washington. The Highlanders, now 11-4, have been on fire in the early going.
Asheville took a 5-3 lead on Tony Castellanos's 20th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Castellanos hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Barton Springs pitcher Walton Gibbs visibly frustrated.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Castellanos, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
