Humpbacks Get Win, Extend Streak to 13
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks stymied the Florida Men, 7-2, at Sea World. Bobby Butterfield, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Alaskan. Ignacio Manzanedo, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 8-1. Modeste Azagba recorded his 6th save for Alaskan.
Alaskan grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Butterfield, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in RBI with 54, hit a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Humpbacks out in front, 3-1.
