The Marquette Miners topped the Billings Polar Bears, 7-3, in M3L Double A action at Marquette Stadium. The player of the game was Marquette pitcher Greg Borges. The loss lowers the Billings record to 1-7.
Had Kiril Neuvel not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Neuvel hit a grand slam. That made the score 7-3, in favor of the Miners.
Borges told a Marquette Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
