Lake Monsters Win at Nolensville, 2-0
|
The Vermont Lake Monsters picked up a win at Ballpark of Alloway, knocking off the Nolensville Knights, 2-0. On the mound for Vermont was right-hander Jefferson Suhendro, who played a pivotal role in the win. The save was credited to Luis Cuevas, his 4th. Nolensville has now lost 5 in a row.
Vermont first baseman Cord Hosenbeck contributed to the cause with a double in the top of the fourth. For the game, Hosenbeck went 2 for 2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Hosenbeck, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
