Dodos Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Hialeah Dodos bested the Tortolita Drummers by a score of 6-4, with shortstop Scott French getting the main credit. On the day, French went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Dodos. Hialeah reliever Mat Tengku picked up the win to move to 8-2. Will Hoffman suffered the loss. Kenny Hannah earned the save for Hialeah, his 4th of the year.
Hialeah used a timely hit from Alfonso Cabedo to get the win. The left fielder delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the second inning to put the Dodos on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Cabedo said.
Hialeah has now won 4 games in a row.
