Golden Cranes Take Down Men, 6-3
|
Santa Barbara and Florida duked it out at Crane Field and the Golden Cranes came out victorious.
Florida first baseman Pellervo Rintanen was sensational. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Santa Barbara beat the Men, 6-3. Rintanen was named the player of the game despite the loss. Santa Barbara is now 48-27.
The Golden Cranes beat the Men with some clutch hitting. The double by Rocky Zolman in the bottom of the second is a good example. With two down, Zolman gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.
"This is a very good team," said Zolman. "We have the chance to do something special."
