Supernovas Get Past Alaskan for 2-1 Win
The Scranton Supernovas got a stellar effort from pitcher Liam Thomson, helping Scranton score a 2-1 win over the visiting Alaskan Humpbacks. Trevor Brohard notched his 11th save in 13 chances. Scranton now owns a record of 40-34.

Had Mario Ramos not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ramos hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Supernovas.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Scranton manager Alfred Roberts.
