Victory Pushes Golden Cranes Record to 44-26
|
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes racked up a win at Ballpark of Alloway, bumping off the Nolensville Knights, 4-1. CB Huntington, who started for Santa Barbara, pitched effectively for his team. Huntington, now 5-6, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Tom Warrawong recorded his 5th save for Santa Barbara.
It could have been a different outcome for Santa Barbara, had it not been for Juan Ibarra, the 28-year old catcher . Ibarra contributed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Santa Barbara up, 4-1.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Ibarra.
Santa Barbara, at 44-26, sits in second place in the Silver AAA.
