Humpbacks Score Late, Top Knights, 6-5
|
Benefiting from Justin Forbes's productive game, the Alaskan Humpbacks downed the Nolensville Knights, 6-5. Forbes went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Humpbacks. Alaskan reliever Derek May picked up the win to move to 2-1. Chun-yeong Byung-Ho suffered the loss. Alaskan is now 48-15, 9 games up in the Silver AAA.
Marcos Luna was the walk-off hero for Alaskan. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Humpbacks pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place sure got loud," said John Carney, the Alaskan manager.
