The Florida Men topped the Scranton Supernovas, 3-2, in USSL Triple A action at Psychos Ballpark. The player of the game was Florida pitcher John Penton. Penton went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 0. His record improves to 6-6. Amadi Azagba converted his 4th save in 5 tries.
Jim Halpert aided the Florida cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Scranton manager Alfred Roberts.
