Golden Cranes Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Dodos
The Hialeah Dodos got a sterling performance from pitcher César Soto, but the Golden Cranes still prevailed, 9-2. Soto was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Sean Jones, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. Santa Barbara is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Santa Barbara used the timely hitting of Pat Lloyd to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Golden Cranes on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Lloyd, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
