Men Get Road Win, 2-0
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Florida Men and the Vermont Lake Monsters, Tim Sharp was the difference-maker. The Florida right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 2-0 win. Amadi Azagba picked up the save for Florida, his 3rd of the year. With the win, Florida has a record of 21-38. Vermont falls to 28-31.
It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Tristan Eikelenboom, the 26-year old second baseman . Eikelenboom contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put Florida up, 2-0.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Florida manager Joseph Fish.
