Tortolita got a terrific performance from pitcher Valentyn Hochmiller, but it wasn't enough to beat the Florida Men. Florida won the Drummers Ballpark contest, 7-6. Hochmiller was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He came in in relief and pitched to 22 batters . Florida starter John Penton was credited with the win after throwing 82 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 5-5. Amadi Azagba nailed down his 2nd save.

It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Ed Holte, the 29-year old right fielder . Holte contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Florida up, 7-4.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Holte.

Florida is last in the Silver AAA with a record of 19-33.
