Late Rally by Supernovas Secures Win
|
The Scranton Supernovas knocked off the Nolensville Knights, 7-5, at Ballpark of Alloway. Román Ramírez was named player of the game for Scranton. He hit 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Scranton reliever Jon King picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Sterling Wheeler shouldered the loss. The save was credited to Trevor Brohard, his 2nd.
Scranton used the clutch hitting of Raffaello Dichio to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Supernovas the lead, 4-3. For the game, Dichio had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ramírez told the Scranton News.
The Supernovas move to 23-18 with the win, while the Knights drop to 17-24.
