Drummers Pick Up 8-1 Win
|
Tortolita Drummers starter Jerry Hamm had all his pitches working at Crane Field. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Tortolita win over the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes. In 7 innings, Hamm surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. With the win, Tortolita goes to 18-20, while the Golden Cranes fall to 24-14.
Tortolita used the clutch hitting of Rick Crockett to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to give the Drummers the lead, 4-0. For the game, Crockett had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
