Humpbacks Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks knocked off the Scranton Supernovas, 3-1, at Nuclear Stadium. Kyuso Kouno, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Alaskan won. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Kingston Liniak picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Nick de la Fuente was tagged with the loss. Alaskan has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
With Alaskan leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Kouno hit a changeup from Nick de la Fuente for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Humpbacks ahead, 3-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Kouno.
