Golden Cranes Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
It was a good time at Crane Field, where fans came to watch the Plymouth Rocks and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes get after it.
Santa Barbara left-hander Mark Jacobson was sensational in shutting out the Plymouth Rocks, 7-0. The Rocks, now 12-12, have lost 4 in a row.
With runs few and far between, the Golden Cranes had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Santa Barbara came in the bottom of the second inning, when right fielder Alfredo Garza delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Shem Burkholder and made the score 1-0, Golden Cranes. Garza went 2-2 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
In postgame comments, Jacobson told the Santa Barbara Daily News: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
