ParksNRec Get Past Santa Barbara for 2-1 Win
|
The Pawnee ParksNRec did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Whips Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Arie de Nooyer, who captured player of the game honors. With the win, Pawnee goes to 10-10.
Had Abel Murphy not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Murphy hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the ParksNRec.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Pawnee manager José Santos.
