The Disaster faced a stiff challenge from Bloomington pitcher Luis Sastre, but persevered to claim a win at Lookouts Ballpark. The final score was 5-4. Sastre went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Joe Louter picked up the save for Port Royal, his 1st of the year. Port Royal is now 49-53, Bloomington 54-48.
Port Royal used the timely hitting of Gerold Kent to capture the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Disaster on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We did enough to win," said Kent.
