Redbirds Get One-Run Win at Port Royal
The Memphis Redbirds picked up a win at Ballpark of Port Royal, knocking off the Port Royal Disaster, 4-3. On the mound for Memphis was right-hander Ainanani Iosepa, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 6.1 innings, Iosepa surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Javier Benavides earned the save, his 1st.

In the top of the first, Júlio Coronado ambushed a 2-2 slider from José Blanco and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Memphis a quick 2-0 lead.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Iosepa.

The Redbirds go to 33-59, putting them last in the Premier AAA.
