Humpbacks Stay Hot, Beat Dodos
The Alaskan Humpbacks went home winners at Sea World, thanks in large part to starter Ricardo Martínez. Martínez silenced the Hialeah Dodos, enabling Alaskan to grab the 9-1 win. Martínez got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 5.2 innings. Martínez allowed 1 earned run. Kanakanui Lokomaikainani got credit for the save for Alaskan. It was his 1st of the year.

Abel Risinger dealt the Dodos a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Alaskan leading 1-0, Risinger, the 19th overall pick in the 2036 draft, hit a 2-0 fastball for a bases-clearing double.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Alaskan manager John Carney.

Alaskan, at 6-1, has sizzled in the early going.
