Redlegs Defeat Longnecks, 7-4
|
Starting pitcher Korbin Dallas pitched well enough to help the Sacramento Redlegs beat the Bloomington Longnecks by the score of 7-4. The winner was Sacramento reliever Tom King, now 1-0. The loser was Reid Ross. Larry Benítez recorded his 14th save for Sacramento.
Qian-fu Zhou hit a 2-run triple off Leon Alfons in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Redlegs in front, 3-1. Zhou had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Dallas said.
The Redlegs saw their record improve to 39-50.
