|
Júlio Coronado made an impact in the 7-5 Memphis win over Jersey City. Coronado, who is rated as the 43rd best prospect by BNN, went 2-4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Memphis reliever Javier Benavides picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Cedric Zuercher shouldered the loss. Memphis is now 32-54, Jersey City 38-48.
Coronado had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 1-1 fastball from Cedric Zuercher, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Redbirds a 7-5 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Coronado.
"I felt good up there," said Coronado. "I saw the ball well."
