The Nolensville Knights got a superb performance from pitcher Joe Holland, but the Tortolita Drummers still won the game, 3-2. Holland was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball. Tortolita reliever Briggs Bourgeois picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Napoleon Vitagliano absorbed the loss. The loss drops Nolensville to 0-3.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Tortolita shortstop Fernando Rincón, facing Napoleon Vitagliano, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Drummers the 3-2 win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Rincón said.
