The Alaskan Humpbacks launched their 2041 campaign with a victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters at Sea World. Alaskan center fielder Roberto Baca was instrumental in the 8-2 win. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 6. Ricardo Martínez earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 2 earned runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Ramón Costello earned the save for Alaskan, his 1st.

Alaskan took a 8-2 lead on Baca's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Ezra Peterson in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Alaskan to the win.
