Redlegs Lose Again, 7-5, to Starks
The Syracuse Starks beat the Sacramento Redlegs, 7-5, at Stark Stadium. The Starks got a fine performance from designated hitter Mikko Haataja, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Tony Wolfe picked up the save, his 9th. Sacramento now has a 8-game losing streak.

Brian Burt had a big 2-run double for the Starks in the bottom of the third inning. With Syracuse leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Gustavo Molina and stroked the double to right. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Starks ahead, 3-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Haataja. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
